Showcase Highlights
Ultra-compact RGB laser light source module
An RGB laser light source module combines red, green, and blue laser lights into a single beam, allowing for the representation of various colors by mixing the emission colors of each laser. This light source is intended for use in devices such as smart glasses, and development efforts are focused on achieving high performance in a compact size. Currently, optical systems are used to mix the light, but there are limits to miniaturizing these systems. In this product, we developed the world's smallest RGB laser light source module by employing an optical waveguide structure on a silicon substrate and coupling the RGB laser lights to it , mixing the light within the waveguide.

Aerial interface module(contactless operation)
Fig.1.Aerial-Interface-Module
An Aerial-Interface-Module is a device that detects contactless gestures, such as taps and swipes, without physical contact with the equipment, enabling information input. The operating principle involves using an infrared distance sensor to detect the distance from objects, allowing the detection of fingertips and obtaining their position information, thus enabling various actions.

Infrared distance sensor
Fig.2.Infrared distance sensor
An infrared distance sensor is used to measure the distance to an object without physical contact. Infrared distance sensors are typically small and cost-effective, making them suitable for a wide range of applications. They are commonly used for human detection, obstacle detection and distance measurement in robots, control of automatic doors, and non-contact control of devices, etc.

Flat type thermopile temperature sensor
Fig.3.Flat type thermopile temperature sensor
The flat-type thermopile-type temperature sensor is a newly developed product. In conventional models, Si lenses are used to focus incident light onto the photodetector. The manufacturing of these lenses involves significant energy consumption and material waste through processes like cutting and polishing. However, in this new development, we have employed a unique reflector structure that allows light to be concentrated on the photodetector without the need for a lens. As a result, we have achieved energy efficiency, reduced material waste, and made it cost-effective. This innovative product offers faster response times and superior temperature accuracy compared to thermistors. Therefore, it has the potential to open up new markets by improving performance in fields where thermistors have traditionally been used. Additionally, besides replacing existing thermopile-type temperature sensors, it can be applied to temperature measurement for non-contact body temperature measurement in various situations. We propose it as a high-precision, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly solution.

Dust sensor
Fig.4. Dust sensor
This sensor detects dust by irradiating particles passing through an air through-hole with infrared light and measuring the amount of light scattered. When dust is detected, the sensor outputs a negative pulse of 0V, when no dust is detected, the output is 5V. The total amount of 0V output time during a measurement period of 30 seconds is then used to calculate the amount of dust in the air.

Surface mount photo interrupter
Fig.6. KIT series
KIT Series and KEITS Series are compact transmission photo interrupters that combine high-power infrared
light-emitting diodes and high-sensitivity photo transistors. The structure is adapted to surface mounting,
and we can propose improved productivity through reflow mounting, etc.
High bubble resistance liquid detection sensor
Fig.7. HIC2A45D2
HIC2A45D2 is an optical sensor that detects the presence of clear fluid in transparent tubing. Our proprietary detection mechanism improves resistance to malfunctions caused by water drops and air bubbles that remained within the tube, which were difficult to avoid with conventional optical methods.
Water detection sensor
Fig.8. SG2A502Z
The SG2A502Z is a transmissive interrupter with a screw-fastened and waterproof structure that can detect water by using a high-power infrared light-emitting-diode corresponding to the absorption wavelength of water as a light source.
Liquid color discrimination sensor
Fig.9. Liquid color discrimination sensor
Product outline
It's a transmissive sensor that consists of a three-color LED and one photodetector. The color and density are determined from the light that has passed through the liquid.
Applications
・Water quality discrimination
・Simple color discrimination of blood and body fluids
・Color discrimination in line inspection

Smart Kitchen
There are often situations where one hesitates to operate devices due to wet or greasy hands. KODENSHI has developed a Smart Kitchen solution to address this issue, leveraging our proprietary sensor technology. This Smart Kitchen allows users to interact with airborne images on a touch screen. Through this interaction, users can remotely control various household appliances such as lighting, induction cooktops, ventilation fans, and even functions like turning kitchen faucets on/off or adjusting water flow – all without the need for physical contact. This innovation promotes a non-contact lifestyle.
While the prevailing trend in IoT involves using smartphone-based smart remotes, which often rely on voice commands or manual input, these methods can be challenging for older individuals. The smart kitchen, however, is built on the concept of delivering an intuitive and user-friendly experience. It incorporates convenient features that developers themselves would desire to use, resulting in a kitchen that embodies a sense of the future.
